Soccer Team
Soccer has been one of the most rewarding parts of my high school experience. While I love competition and going to the playoffs each year, the best part has always been my teammates, the friendships we've built, and the shared goal of getting better together. As someone who used to be really quiet, soccer taught me how to get out of my shell and communicate with my teammates.
AAPI Affinity Group
The AAPI Affinity Group has given me a way to celebrate and share a part of my identity that means a lot to me. Since taking on a leadership role, I’ve gotten to help put together things like our Diwali and Lunar New Year celebrations, which have become some of my favorite events at school. We also create a lot of our own traditions, whether that’s weekly mahjong or doing mukbang sessions with food from home.
Formula 1 Club
Joining F1 Club started as a way to learn more about a sport I had become fascinated by, but it quickly became much more than that. As a girl in a space where women are often underrepresented, I’ve had to get comfortable speaking up, sharing my opinions, and asking a lot of questions. As a club leader, I’ve loved building a community around our shared obsession with Formula 1, whether that’s watching university circuit races together or debating which driver is going to win the championship!
